HUMAN RIGHTS IN THE INTERNET
Human rights are unchangeable and non-negotiable, because they were given us from above. These rights build an absolute law. However, it is believed that the development of remote communication technology and exchange of information gradually destroy freedom.
SUCH TREND EXISTS. WHY?
Yes, an inertial scenario exists, and it is progressively being implemented. If you analyse the situation in Cuba, Brazil, China, Iran, Russia or Ukraine, you will see, that all these manipulations have a single formula: we can not control, so we must prohibit. But such precedents existed in history, that’s why people learned to read between the lines and speak a language understandable only for the recipient of information.
Freedom of speech can not be stopped. The only option is the way of North Korea, where people use computer mostly as television. They have a stunted and uninteresting nationwide intranet instead of the Internet.
This action could be tough and radical, but I think that it is not an attractive alternative for a civilized country. It is also impossible to impose your own ideas about freedom and peace on other countries. Such steps can only signal serious problems of authorities. This is an average hysteria - and it can be treated, but in other ways.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
You should focus only on yourself, analyze and understand why some decisions are made, while others are not. Draw conclusions about good and bad things. Compare the articles of different international media and, of course, participate in the establishment of civil society.
If you feel that there are some gross violations of the human rights in your country, apply to our project – become an activist of the community. We will protect our rights together.
